The IOBCr Prize for Innovation IOBCr Prize

A new prize has been instigated by the International Organization for Biological Crystallization funded by a donation from Professor Jan Drenth and the European Commission OptiCryst Project. The prize will be given to an individual or group who present a new innovative idea, which can be theoretical or practical/technological, via a poster or talk at the ICCBM12 conference.

The prize will consist of $150 and a certificate. The first award will be given at the ICCBM12 and further awards will be made at future ICCBMs.

Any participant at the ICCBM from any country is eligible to be considered. When submitting an abstract for a poster or talk please state if you would like to be considered for the prize highlighting why the poster/talk is new and innovative.

We also have received great news from Mr. Ken Browne, Managing Director of Technology Networks Ltd. and ePosters.net, the Online Journal of Scientific Posters, which kindly offered a donation for a $300 plus a physical award for the best poster presentation during the conference and which will be judged by an ICCBM12 Members Panel.

Every participant with a poster presentation will be invited to upload, free of charge, their works onto ePosters.net after the event. Any submitted posters will also be displayed on ProteinCrystallography.com.

The ICCBM12 Prizes for best talks by Young Scientists Prizes for best talks

Two prizes of $150 each and a certificate will be donated by Microlytic for the best talks given by young scientists at the ICCBM. Young scientist is defined as someone not more than 5 years after their Ph.D. degree. Any participant at the ICCBM from any country is eligible to be considered. Please state if you would like to be considered for the prize by signing your name at the Microlytic Booth.
